Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enitan Arendse (ranked 1871 p4p, 218 weight class) and Michael Padrone (ranked 4526 p4p, 469 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arendse connects with a jab.
Padrone tries to move into range but Arendse moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Padrone takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Arendse uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Padrone has time to react.
Arendse's jab looks to have found its range, popping Padrone under the eye.
Arendse fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Padrone has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Padrone has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Padrone doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Enitan Arendse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Arendse throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Padrone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Arendse makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Arendse creates a bit of distance and cracks Padrone with a massive left hook! Padrone crumples out of camera shot, completely unconscious! He's been Nelmarked! Arendse stares at him for a moment then struts over to his corner, victorious.
