Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Aldo Crespo (ranked 2213 p4p, 108 weight class) and Carlos Maia (ranked 21925 p4p, 381 weight class). Crespo comes to the ring accompanied by Toxic Waltz. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

In the red corner, competing out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 4 losses; Aldo Crespo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Carlos Maia!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Crespo closes the distance and clinches.

Crespo is fighting off a takedown attempt but Maia is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Crespo to the mat. Crespo regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Crespo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Maia drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crespo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crespo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crespo!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maia tries to bench press Crespo off him but Crespo keeps the position.
Maia gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Maia won't allow Crespo to pass to mount.

Crespo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Maia is just riding it out for now. Crespo eventually gives up the hold.

Crespo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Crespo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Crespo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Maia doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crespo.
