Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobbie Wade (ranked 6113 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grove Pathak (ranked 25428 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grove Pathak!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pathak stuffs the takedown attempt from Wade. Wade gets slowly back to his feet.
Pathak feints a counter leg kick.
Pathak looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wade blocks a low kick nicely.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pathak.
Wade is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pathak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wade swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wade really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wade changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pathak tries to avoid it but Wade manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pathak to the ground. Pathak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wade moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromPathak.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobbie Wade. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pathak fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pathak shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wade pinned against the cage. Wade gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Wade misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Grove Pathak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wade drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wade chips away with some ground and pound.
Wade is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Wade trying to control the position from guard on top but Pathak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wade drops back looking for a leg! Pathak is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pathak manages to kick Wade off! Wade jumps back into Pathak's guard.
Wade is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wade will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wade postures up in Pathak's guard and throws a big left but Pathak blocks it.
Wade postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pathak can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wade lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Wade working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wade working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pathak's head.
Pathak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wade controls the pace.
Wade missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Wade passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Wade has an Americana. Pathak didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wade is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wade hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
