Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Olvi Kurko! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kurko changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rand looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kurko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rand has escaped the position, nice work there. Rand tries to buck Kurko off but Kurko is having none of it. Rand is breathing heavily. Kurko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rand is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Kurko is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Rand has managed to free his arm - good work. Kurko is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rand sees it coming and defends easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Kurko is trying to work for a kimura but Rand is defending well.

Kurko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rand is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Rand. Kurko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rand but Rand pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Rand bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kurko's guard. Kurko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rand is defending well. Kurko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rand has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kurko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
