Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Rubens Charles (ranked 4009 p4p, 194 weight class) and Bjj Steel Penn (ranked 5749 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Steel Penn fails to land the takedown. Steel Penn with a poor takedown and Charles counters with a shoot takedown. Steel Penn fights it but they end up in guard. Charles wants to free his trapped foot but Steel Penn is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steel Penn holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Charles is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Charles wants to control from the top but Steel Penn keeps moving.

Steel Penn slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Steel Penn is looking to take a break and control but Charles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Charles is trying to control but can't.
Steel Penn is looking to advance position but Charles won't allow it. Charles trying to control but Steel Penn postures up.

Charles is trying to maintain the position but Steel Penn is very close to passing his half guard. Charles tries to roll over but Steel Penn keeps him under control. Charles gets back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Steel Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Charles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Steel Penn wins on points by 5 to 2. A relieved looking Bjj Steel Penn thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
