Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Gary Bishoff (ranked 21692 p4p, 0 weight class) and John John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bishoff comes to the cage accompanied by Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing. John John is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. John misses with a takedown attempt - Bishoff sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. John tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bishoff gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bishoff gets control of John's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bishoff will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Bishoff managing to control the position. Bishoff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bishoff is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John looking to sit in guard and control but Bishoff gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bishoff has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bishoff advances position into side control! That's six minutes gone in the round. Bishoff is looking to take a break and control but John is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bishoff goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, John has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bishoff but great work by John. That's seven minutes gone in the round. Bishoff tries to lock up and control but John gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. John wants to control the pace but Bishoff is squirming around nicely. John is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bishoff to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bishoff shrugs it off. Bishoff holds on to John around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks. John prevents Bishoff from getting the reversal.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. John tries to control but Bishoff wriggling away. Bishoff tries to improve his position but instead John has taken his back! Score +3 for taking back: Bishoff (8) vs (9) John Bishoff is really stuck here.

John is hanging on to Bishoff's back as he tries to escape.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. John tries to get the hooks in deep but Bishoff pushed the leg off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bishoff is in bad spot here.

Bishoff tries to escape the position.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Bishoff's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling John's hands. You can see the frustration on Bishoff's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bishoff manages to reverse the position and now he's in John's guard. Nice work there by Bishoff.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. John is pushing down on Bishoff's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bishoff is fighting to maintain full guard but John has managed to sneak the leg through. John trying to control from half guard but Bishoff is working away. Well, if John is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bishoff keeping hold of John's head, controlling as best he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. John is pressing down on Bishoff's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bishoff is holding on for now.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. John is taking a breather. Bishoff says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bishoff trying to hold on to John's head to control him but John postures up.
Bishoff controlling the position for now. John is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bishoff! Score +3 for passing guard: Bishoff (10) vs (14) John John has hold of Bishoff's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bishoff manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bishoff is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. John prevents Bishoff from getting the reversal. Bishoff wants to control but John is having none of it. Bishoff is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! John can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bishoff is looking to escape.
