Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbie Hutchinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Van Rossum! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Rossum closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hutchinson throws Van Rossum to one side and escapes! Van Rossum forces Hutchinson back against the cage and clinches. Van Rossum prevents a takedown attempt there.
Van Rossum jumps guard but Hutchinson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Van Rossum has Hutchinson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Van Rossum pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hutchinson tumbling to the mat - Van Rossum dives into Hutchinson's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Van Rossum is stalling in the full guard. Van Rossum wants to stand but Hutchinson is controlling his posture from full guard. Van Rossum not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Van Rossum stays in close to Hutchinson's body and controls the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Van Rossum working the ground and pound effectively.

Van Rossum lands a heavy elbow. Van Rossum has control of Hutchinson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hutchinson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hutchinson is fighting to break Van Rossum's control of his arms but Van Rossum is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hutchinson passes Van Rossum's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hutchinson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Van Rossum has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hutchinson is working away from the top position though. Van Rossum has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hutchinson tries to pass to full mount but Van Rossum defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Van Rossum keeping hold of Hutchinson's head, controlling as best he can. Van Rossum is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Van Rossum moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hutchinson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Van Rossum had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hutchinson defends it easily. Van Rossum is looking to sweep but instead, Hutchinson has passed into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hutchinson decides to stand up. Hutchinson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Van Rossum sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hutchinson closes the distance and pushes Van Rossum back into the cage. Hutchinson effectively controlling the action here. Hutchinson has Van Rossum pressed against the cage.

Van Rossum slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hutchinson's guard. Van Rossum would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hutchinson is trying to keep Van Rossum in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A combination from Van Rossum does no damage. Van Rossum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hutchinson as he jumps to the side. Hutchinson darts in and clinches Van Rossum up against the cage. Hutchinson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Van Rossum blocks a head kick by Hutchinson.
Van Rossum feints the counter takedown. Robbie Hutchinson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Van Rossum displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hutchinson. Van Rossum clinches with his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Van Rossum comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Van Rossum has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
