Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Darski (ranked 1306 p4p, 126 weight class) and Devon Malcolm (ranked 1773 p4p, 164 weight class). Devon Malcolm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chuck Darski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devon Malcolm! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Darski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Darski cracks Malcolm with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Darski doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Malcolm. Darski does a little dance to reset his feet. Darski throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Chuck Darski has been cut. Darski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jab, jab by Malcolm - just one landing. Darski lands a lovely overhand right. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Malcolm stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Darski. Darski misses with an uppercut. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Darski.
Malcolm throws a good cross that connects.
That's one minute gone in the round. Darski just misses with a punch to the body.
Darski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malcolm was well out of range. Poor timing from Darski. Darski throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Malcolm counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Darski avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Malcolm scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Malcolm missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Malcolm throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Darski to regain full guard. We've been hearing good reports from Darski's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Malcolm accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Darski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Darski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Malcolm looking to pass the guard. Malcolm with a nice head shot there. Darski is trying to keep Malcolm in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Darski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Darski looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Malcolm has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Malcolm lands a couple of elbows. Darski wants to sweep here but Malcolm controlling him for the moment. Malcolm advances to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Malcolm is nestled in close to Darski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Malcolm is thwarting Darski's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malcolm scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Darski is trying to maintain the position but Malcolm is very close to passing his half guard. Darski wants to control but Malcolm passes into side.
Malcolm works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malcolm lands some shots froms side control. Malcolm cracks Darski with a big right hand but Darski just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Darski wants to control but Malcolm postures up. Darski is working to avoid the ground and pound but Malcolm connects with a decent elbow.
Darski is rocked! Malcolm scoring with punches from side control. Oh Darski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Malcolm working the ground and pound. Darski takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Malcolm landing a few strikes. Malcolm cracks Darski with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Malcolm immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Darski is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Malcolm!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Devon Malcolm! Devon Malcolm bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
