Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kolten Svendettee (ranked 2596 p4p, 89 weight class) and Jake Butler (ranked 1166 p4p, 31 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kolten Svendettee! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jake Butler! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Svendettee slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Butler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Svendettee sprawls well. Svendettee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Butler gets slowly back to his feet. Butler forces Svendettee back against the cage and clinches. We've been hearing reports that Svendettee has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Butler drops down looking for an ankle pick but Svendettee pulls his leg out and moves away.
Butler closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Butler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kolten Svendettee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Butler. Butler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Svendettee after a bit of a struggle. Svendettee is trying to force a seperation but Butler has the dominant position. Butler keeps control of Svendettee as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Butler wants to take the fight to the mat but Svendettee manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Svendettee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Butler.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler goes for a takedown attempt but Svendettee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Svendettee feints a jab promting Butler to slip. Svendettee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Butler slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Jake Butler has been cut. Svendettee missing with a left hand there. Butler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Svendettee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Butler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Svendettee tries to avoid it but Butler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Svendettee to the ground. Svendettee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Butler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Svendettee swivels and escapes. Butler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Svendettee keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Butler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Butler wants to control from the top but Svendettee keeps moving. Butler won't allow Svendettee to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Svendettee is trying to keep Butler in close.
Svendettee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Butler lands a couple of elbows. Butler advances position into side control! Butler lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Svendettee really is a fat lump. Svendettee is not content to let Butler control the position. Butler scoring with punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butler is working Svendettee over with some ground and pound from side control.
It looks like Kolten Svendettee has been cut. Butler passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Svendettee! Butler raining down hammerfists from mount. Butler landing shots from mount. Butler pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Svendettee is rocked!
Kolten Svendettee's cut is getting worse. Butler controlling his opponent. Oh Svendettee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Butler! Svendettee is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jake Butler! Jake Butler retains his super heavyweight title! During a confident post fight interview, Jake Butler thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. In defeat, Kolten Svendettee stepped up to the mic, saying 'F*** that guy he's on roids'.
