The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horvat will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Datsik lands a nice shot to the body.
Viacheslav Datsik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Datsik will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Datsik misses with a body kick.
Datsik connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Horvat's hands.
Horvat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Datsik pinned against the cage. Datsik gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horvat has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Horvat. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Datsik throws a chopping leg kick but Horvat manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Datsik scores with a jab.
Datsik lands a body shot.
Horvat is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horvat moves out of range of the body kick.
Datsik throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Horvat stumbling backwards into the cage! Horvat bounces back off the cage towards Datsik, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Datsik lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Datsik celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
