13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronald Fredrick! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredrick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fredrick clinches up against the cage. Hate takes an elbow to the forehead. Fredrick gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Harry Hate has been cut. Hate on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Fredrick lands with a left to the head. Fredrick has Hate pressed against the cage, preventing Hate from circling away and getting back to striking at range. We've been hearing reports that Hate has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Fredrick lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Fredrick told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Fredrick throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hate blocks it with crossed arms. Fredrick lands a nice elbow. Fredrick has Hate pressed against the cage, preventing Hate from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Fredrick with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Fredrick connects with a knee to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fredrick connects with a knee to the head.

Fredrick lands another knee that sends Hate to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronald Fredrick! A less than humble Ronald Fredrick misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
