Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roi Asher (ranked 3350 p4p, 164 weight class) and Luc Kleynen (ranked 23599 p4p, 376 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kleynen's choice of entrance music: Best UFC entrance of all time!!!. Luc Kleynen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roi Asher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luc Kleynen!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kleynen gets caught napping as Asher dives in and scores a takedown. Kleynen manages to retain guard.
Asher is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kleynen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kleynen looking for a sweep. Not yet Kleynen, not yet.
Asher stays in close to Kleynen's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kleynen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kleynen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Asher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asher missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Asher stays in close to Kleynen's body and controls the position.
Asher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Asher has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Asher passes Kleynen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kleynen wants to improve his position but Asher is controlling well.
Kleynen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Asher is working away from the top position though.

Asher seems to be looking for submissions.
Kleynen is trying to get back to full guard.
Asher is nestled in close to Kleynen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Kleynen has a hand on Asher's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Asher takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Asher is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Asher!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Roi Asher!
Roi Asher tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Luc Kleynen stepped up to the mic, saying 'I lost against a fighter, who was today better as me, i'll be back stronger !!!'.
