The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armani stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Medkjeryakecz.
Medkjeryakecz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Armani counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Armani throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Armani wants to work for an arm triangle but Medkjeryakecz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Armani moves nicely into side control.

Medkjeryakecz parries the strikes from Armani easily there. Armani is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Medkjeryakecz to escape.

Armani has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
You can see the frustration on Medkjeryakecz's face as Armani controls the position.
Armani has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Medkjeryakecz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Armani yanks on the arm and Medkjeryakecz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Armani.
