Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Culver Crimson (ranked 2722 p4p, 291 weight class) and Jer Bear (ranked 3054 p4p, 320 weight class). Bear has chosen Good Times as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Culver Crimson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jer Bear! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear avoids the head kick by Crimson.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bear has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Crimson drives through and clinches with Bear against the cage.
Bear is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Crimson pulls him back up using the underhooks. I was talking to Crimson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Crimson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bear backwards.
It looks like Jer Bear has been cut. Crimson swings wildly with an uppercut but Bear uses good head movement to avoid it. Bear pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bear fails with the takedown. Crimson cracks Bear with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bear looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Crimson finish him?
Bear is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bear circles away from the clinch attempt.
Crimson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Culver Crimson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jer Bear. Crimson misses with a low kick.
Despite the aggression on Bear's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Crimson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Crimson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Bear's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Crimson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bear.

That's one minute gone in the round. Crimson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Crimson keeps control of Bear as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Crimson lands a body punch. Crimson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Bear blocks an uppercut.

Crimson pushes Bear off looking to stand but Bear dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Crimson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bear swats him away and circles back towards the center. Crimson has managed to clinch.

Bear closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Crimson did well to prevent Bear getting side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Culver Crimson dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Crimson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Crimson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bear can do to turn this around? Bear drives through and clinches with Crimson against the cage.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Crimson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Crimson misses with a hook from the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Crimson. Bear has picked Crimson up - he's going for a ride! Bear dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Bear seems to be looking for submissions.
Crimson is not content to let Bear control the position. Crimson won't allow Bear to pass to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crimson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bear is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear is looking to take a break and control but Crimson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bear is just content to waste time from the top position. Crimson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Crimson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crimson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Crimson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bear dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Crimson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bear asserts his dominance and retains side control. Bear goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Crimson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bear but great work by Crimson. Crimson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Crimson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Crimson misses with a short punch on the inside. Bear blocking some punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Crimson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Crimson wants to clinch. Bear tries to keep at a distance but Crimson has taken the fight into the clinch. A shot in the inside from Crimson.
That has opened up Jer Bear's cut even more. Crimson lands a nice uppercut. Bear is working for takedown but Crimson is calmly controlling the position for now. Bear tries to score a body lock takedown but Crimson shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Crimson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Crimson lands a shoulder strike. Crimson lands with a right to the head. Bear is still on wobbly legs! Can Crimson finish him? Crimson pushes Bear back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Bear is breathing heavily. Crimson digs a right hand into Bear's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bear's gas tank. Crimson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crimson throws a big uppercut that drops Bear! More strikes from Crimson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Bear lies dazed against the cage as Crimson celebrates with his cornermen!
