Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
37 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jermey Arnold! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Enting Butikol! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butikol throws a sloppy head kick and Arnold cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Arnold works the jab nicely. Arnold slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Butikol tries to clinch and Arnold counters with a straight right hand. Arnold gets in close and instigates a clinch. Arnold tries a knee to the head but Butikol blocks it.
Butikol pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Butikol tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Butikol as Arnold tries to tie him up. Nice elbow from Butikol. Arnold misses with a knee to the head. Butikol lands an elbow that stopped Arnold in his tracks for a moment. Butikol throws an elbow that misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. A right hook to the body lands for Arnold.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Butikol misses with a hook from the clinch. Arnold tries to land knees in the clinch but Butikol avoids the damage to the body. Butikol takes an elbow to the temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butikol throws a punch but it's blocked by Arnold. Arnold connects with a knee to the head.
Butikol is rocked! Arnold with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Butikol is still on wobbly legs! Can Arnold finish him? Arnold connects with a knee to the head.
Arnold takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Butikol is off balance and as he stumbles, Arnold throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Butikol's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Jermey Arnold! A less than humble Jermey Arnold misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
