Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Carlos Gendozo (ranked 22837 p4p, 742 weight class) and Tim Wonders (ranked 24365 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gendozo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Temptations - My Girl. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Tim Wonders! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Wonders closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wonders is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wonders wants to take a breather but Gendozo is having none of it. Wonders seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gendozo tries to get to full guard but Wonders has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wonders tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gendozo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wonders is taking a breather. Gendozo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Gendozo is staying active underneath Wonders, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wonders tries to pass to full mount but Gendozo defends it. Wonders keeps trying to improve his position. Gendozo trying to hold on to Wonders's head to control him but Wonders postures up.

Wonders wants to work for an arm triangle but Gendozo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gendozo is looking to control Wonders's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gendozo avoid being mounted? Wonders is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wonders is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
