Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Joe Joe jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dandy The Don (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying The Don's choice of entrance music: Sometime Around Midnight by The Airbourne Toxic Event. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Don slips a jab and a cross from Joe Joe jr.
Joe Joe jr stuffs the takedown.
The Don swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Joe Joe jr counters with a nice uppercut.

Joe Joe jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Don looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Joe Joe jr wants to control but The Don is keeping him busy.
The Don manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The Don looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The Don wants to take a breather but Joe Joe jr is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and The Don counters with a single leg into guard. Joe Joe jr didn't expect that.

The Don drops back looking for a leg! Joe Joe jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Joe Joe jr manages to kick The Don off! The Don jumps back into Joe Joe jr's guard.

The Don tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no The Don has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The Don is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joe Joe jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Joe Joe jr is not content to let The Don control the position.

Joe Joe jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Don on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The Don misses with a body kick.
Joe Joe jr misses with an uppercut. The Don saw that one coming.
Joe Joe jr misses with a looping left.
Joe Joe jr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Joe Joe jr throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent The Don stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Joe Joe jr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The Don has his foot on Joe Joe jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Joe Joe jr works his way back into a safe position though.

The Don has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Joe Joe jr. Oh but The Don has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Joe Joe jr goes limp - he's gone! The Don jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
