Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elano Monteiro (ranked 5260 p4p, 600 weight class) and Kamden Jackson (ranked 2854 p4p, 371 weight class). Jackson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Valparaiso. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Elano Monteiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kamden Jackson! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Monteiro's hands. Monteiro takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kamden Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Monteiro throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Monteiro is in Jackson's guard. Monteiro won't allow Jackson to sweep him here. Monteiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson keeping full guard, as Monteiro tries to pass. Monteiro wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monteiro is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Monteiro's guard. Monteiro wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling him. Monteiro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Monteiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Monteiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jackson has his foot on Monteiro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Monteiro works his way back into a safe position though. Jackson looking for a guillotine here but Monteiro defends easily.

Monteiro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jackson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jackson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ground and pound from Jackson. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Jackson wants to control from the top but Monteiro keeps moving. Kamden Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Monteiro looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jackson! Monteiro is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Monteiro advances nicely into full mount. Jackson is looking to improve his position but Monteiro isn't that keen on the idea. Monteiro jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jackson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jackson and Monteiro has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Monteiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jackson is just riding it out for now. Monteiro eventually gives up the hold. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Monteiro is thwarting Jackson's attempts to control the position.

Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Monteiro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Monteiro's back! Monteiro is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jackson gets his way!
Monteiro needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation.

Jackson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Monteiro defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Jackson keeps control of the position as Monteiro tries to break free.
Monteiro is trying to defend against the choke here but Jackson has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Jackson Tightens the hold and Monteiro taps out furiously! Jackson displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
