Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Larva (ranked 4880 p4p, 478 weight class) and Wilson Snyder (ranked 7322 p4p, 563 weight class). Wilson Snyder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jacob Larva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wilson Snyder! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snyder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Larva throws an off balance right hand
and Snyder counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Larva is wriggling around but Snyder manages to pass to half guard.
Well, if Snyder is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snyder is pressing down on Larva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Larva is holding on for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snyder content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Snyder trying to mount his opponent but Larva defends it. Larva is trying to stand.
Larva is trying to get back to full guard. Snyder lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Snyder missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Snyder controlling the pace. Snyder seems to be looking for submissions.
Snyder with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Snyder missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snyder throwing shots but Larva is blocking nicely. Still in half guard, Snyder seems content to control.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Snyder tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Larva swivels and escapes. Snyder avoids a punch combination nicely.
Larva leaves Snyder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jacob Larva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilson Snyder. Larva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And Snyder tries to counter it with a takedown but Larva pushes his down on his head and steps out. Larva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Larva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Snyder counters by clinching up. Larva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Snyder is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Larva to the mat. Larva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Larva kicks Snyder off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Snyder avoids a punch combination nicely.
Snyder moves into the clinch. Snyder pulls guard. Snyder working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Larva. Larva looking to sit in guard and control but Snyder gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Snyder trying to control the position from guard on top but Larva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snyder's corner is telling him to maintain position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wilson Snyder dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Snyder gets the takedown into side control. Snyder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Larva keeps working. Snyder taking a breather here. Snyder is continuing to stall. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snyder is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Larva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Snyder wants to stand but Larva is controlling his arm.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Snyder throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Larva's waist but Larva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Snyder off to one side. Larva tries to keep at a distance but Snyder has taken the fight into the clinch. Snyder successfully pulls guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snyder can do anything to dispel that myth. Larva postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Snyder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Larva makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Snyder keeping moving, preventing Larva from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larva postures up.
Snyder looking for a guillotine here but Larva defends easily.
Wilson Snyder has got the better of the ground game so far. Snyder avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Larva cracks Snyder with a solid left hand. Snyder working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Snyder is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Larva is looking to work some ground and pound but Snyder has wrist control. Larva distracts Snyder with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Larva trying to control the position from guard on top but Snyder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snyder looking to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snyder working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Larva.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Snyder. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Wilson Snyder will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Snyder comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Snyder misses with a body kick. Larva misses with a series of wild punches.
Snyder goes for a double leg but Larva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Larva continues to drive forward. Jacob Larva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Larva misses with a straight right. Larva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Snyder to score an easy takedown into full guard. Snyder looking to sit in guard and control but Larva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Larva works over Snyder with some ground and pound from guard.

Snyder looking for a sweep. Not yet Snyder, not yet. Larva trying to control but Snyder is working from the bottom. Larva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Snyder on the ground. Larva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Larva trying to control but Snyder is working from the bottom. Snyder is looking to stand up but Larva isn't so interested in that idea. Larva lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Snyder takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Larva pushes Snyder off looking to stand but Snyder dives back in and keeps control.
Larva is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Snyder tries to stand and escape but Larva is controlling the position. Snyder looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snyder throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Snyder in particular looking to stall. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Snyder not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jacob Larva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Snyder gets a takedown into half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snyder is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Larva has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacob Larva. I think Snyder has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
