Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Casper Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Morisawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morisawa has chosen M1dy - Cold Pizza as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Morisawa!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morisawa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Light tries to clinch up but Morisawa circles away and keeps his distance.

Morisawa keeps control of Light as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Morisawa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Light uses from the top position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morisawa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Morisawa has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Light has passed into side control.

Light clinches up with Morisawa and pushes him back against the ropes.

Light drops back looking for a leg! Morisawa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morisawa manages to kick Light off! Light jumps back into Morisawa's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Light wants to stand but Morisawa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Morisawa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Light. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Morisawa pulls Light in close to his closed guard and prevents Light from doing any damage or advancing position.
Morisawa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Morisawa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's time! Light's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Light tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morisawa just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Light wants to control but Morisawa is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Morisawa wants to free his trapped foot but Light is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Light wants to improve his position but Morisawa is controlling well.
Light wants to get back to his feet.
Light tries to roll over but Morisawa keeps him under control.
Morisawa slips a nice elbow through Light's hands, connecting with Light's forehead.

Light has hold of Morisawa's hands but Morisawa slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.


Light is rocked!
Morisawa is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Light is hurt! He's hurt bad - Morisawa fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Light from any more punishment! Congratulations to Morisawa! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shinji Morisawa!
