Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gail Faulkner (ranked 25165 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Jacobs (ranked 6224 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gail Faulkner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ace Jacobs! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Faulkner's guard. Jacobs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Faulkner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jacobs is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Faulkner keeping moving, preventing Jacobs from controlling successfully. Jacobs is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jacobs is fighting to break Faulkner's control of his arms but Faulkner is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Jacobs postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faulkner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jacobs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jacobs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Faulkner is pulling down on Jacobs's head to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacobs wants to control from the top but Faulkner keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Faulkner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jacobs is controlling him. Faulkner has Jacobs pulled in close to control his posture. Faulkner wants to sweep but no luck. Jacobs trying to control the position from guard on top but Faulkner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jacobs content to stall in guard here. The fighters are working up against the cage. Faulkner manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Faulkner can't get the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Faulkner blocks it with crossed arms. Faulkner is trying to pull guard but Jacobs has him pressed against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Jacobs fails to land. Jacobs slowing the pace effectively. Jacobs is pressed up against the cage. Faulkner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jacobs down to the mat. Jacobs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gail Faulkner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jacobs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Faulkner moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Faulkner fails with an attempt to clinch.
A nice combination there by Jacobs.
Jacobs throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Faulkner was covering up waiting for the punch and Jacobs finishes the takedown easily into guard. Faulkner has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jacobs is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Faulkner is working for takedown but Jacobs is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs wants to break the clinch but can't.
Faulkner jumps guard but Jacobs stands there with Faulkner around his waist. Faulkner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Faulkner pressing his opponent against the cage. Jacobs gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Faulkner is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jacobs rolls with it to try and escape but Faulkner cranks on the arm and Jacobs is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
