Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamaal Chavez (ranked 6972 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny King (ranked 9488 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny King will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jamaal Chavez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kenny King!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails with a takedown attempt.

Chavez moves into the clinch.
King working aggressively here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Chavez blocks it with crossed arms.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chavez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Chavez has King pressed against the cage.
Chavez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables King to keep the fight standing.
Chavez is trying to force a seperation but King has the dominant position.
Chavez tries to pull guard but King holds him up against the cage and eventually Chavez drops back down to his feet.
Chavez can't find room to land a body shot as King controls the action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chavez dodges an elbow strike from King.
Chavez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. King smiles and moves away.
King has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Chavez is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamaal Chavez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King throws a nice looking combination but Chavez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Chavez moves into the clinch successfully.
Chavez is struggling to control the position.
Chavez tries to pull guard but King holds him up against the cage and eventually Chavez drops back down to his feet.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jamaal Chavez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chavez moves into range and clinches up with King.
Chavez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as King accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
King throws a big right hand that misses.
Chavez is trying to control the position but King postures up.

Chavez pulls King in to control the position.
King must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Chavez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Chavez tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chavez throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Chavez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chavez postures up and lands a big shot to King's brow.

King has his foot on Chavez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chavez works his way back into a safe position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

King throws his legs up looking for a submission but Chavez uses it to pass to side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Chavez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and King avoids it.

King is working Chavez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Chavez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Chavez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

King throws a big right hand that misses.
Chavez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Chavez really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

King isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Chavez stacks King on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Chavez!

King wants to get back to his feet but Chavez is dominant here and he's now got King's back!

Chavez lands a shot to the body.
Chavez lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Chavez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?

Chavez lands with a hammerfist to the side of King's head.
Chavez has King flattened out and is raining down punches.
King is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Chavez.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chavez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics King uses from the top position.

Jamaal Chavez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jamaal Chavez showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chavez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
