Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Space (ranked 1571 p4p, 214 weight class) and Jozen Joestar (ranked 1788 p4p, 239 weight class). Kevin Space has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Space!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jozen Joestar!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joestar throws a head kick that misses.
Joestar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Joestar wants it to stay on the feet.
Joestar pushes Space away with a front kick.
Joestar wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Joestar throws a sloppy head kick and Space moves out of range easily.
Space shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Joestar but Joestar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Joestar throws a low kick but Space avoids it.
Space takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Space has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

As Joestar tries to get set, Space tries to push him back and clinch up but Joestar manages to avoid the attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Space is looking for a kimura but Joestar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Space to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Space is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Joestar sees it coming and defends easily.

Space wants to work for an arm triangle but Joestar is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Space is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Joestar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Joestar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Space moves away.
Space attempts a counter takedown but Joestar avoids it well and moves away.

Joestar wants to clinch up but Space keeps it at a distance.

Space changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Space shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Joestar as he avoids it easily.
Joestar throws a wild body kick that Space sees coming a mile off.
Space goes for a double leg but Joestar avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Joestar continues to drive forward.
Joestar connects with a jab.
Space will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Space. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Space uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Joestar.

and Space decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Joestar's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Space stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joestar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Space has gone for a leg lock! Joestar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Space's guard.


Space is looking for a triangle here but Joestar uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Joestar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Space. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Space tries to improve position but can't.
Joestar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Space keeps working.
Space sneaks back into half guard.

Space working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joestar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joestar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Joestar is sitting in close to Space's body. Space has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Joestar is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Joestar is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Space.
