Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Valur (ranked 2798 p4p, 327 weight class) and Ezio Franco (ranked 3164 p4p, 358 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Valur might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to David Bowie - Let's Dance. Franco is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by BASS. Ezio Franco struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ezio Franco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valur keeps the fight on the outside.
Valur misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Valur.
Franco takes the fight into the clinch.
Franco lands a good knee to the midsection. Valur won't want to take too many of those.

Franco tries to throw a body punch but Valur avoids it by throwing Franco back against the cage.

Valur has hold of Franco's hands but Franco slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Franco looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Franco has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Big Price MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Franco seems to be working for a kimura but Valur defends the submission attempt.
Franco lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Valur! More strikes land and this one is all over! Franco jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ezio Franco opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
