Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Horowich (ranked 6505 p4p, 610 weight class) and Jackie Suarez (ranked 6833 p4p, 624 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horowich looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Suarez!
Suarez throws Horowich to one side and escapes!
Suarez gets caught flat footed, as Horowich shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Horowich trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Suarez wants to sweep but no luck.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Horowich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Suarez tries to clinch there but Horowich circles away.
Horowich closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Suarez quickly recovers to half guard.

Horowich is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Suarez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Suarez shrugs it off.
