The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ferguson defends well and Aliev ends up having to push Ferguson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Aliev is trying to escape back to his feet but Ferguson uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ferguson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aliev, who protects the arm well.
Ferguson controls the position from side control.
Aliev is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ferguson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Ferguson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ferguson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aliev to his feet.
Ferguson slaps away a takedown attempt from Aliev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ferguson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Aliev tries to kick Ferguson off in order to stand up. Ferguson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Aliev looks winded!
Ferguson stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Ferguson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ferguson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Aliev did well to prevent Ferguson getting side control.
Aliev pushes Ferguson off but Ferguson dives into side control.
Ferguson decides to stand back up. Ferguson steps back and let's Aliev get back to his feet.
Ferguson misses the shot to the body.
Ferguson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aliev tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ferguson is in Aliev's guard.
Aliev wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ferguson manages to pass to side control.

Ferguson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ferguson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Aliev is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
