The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cooper is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Cooper circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Cooper moves out of range.
Johnson looks gassed!
Cooper swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson throws a head kick but Cooper moves out of range.
Cooper ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cooper closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cooper lands in his opponent's guard.

Cooper is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Cooper passes Johnson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Cooper working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Cooper looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Cooper is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cooper.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Johnson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Cooper! Submission of the night perhaps?
