Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simple Jack (ranked 4208 p4p, 450 weight class) and Ayn Rand (ranked 5039 p4p, 518 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Simple Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ayn Rand! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jack gets caught napping as Rand dives in and scores a takedown. Jack manages to retain guard. Rand has gone for a leg lock! Jack slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rand's guard.
Jack has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Rand working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jack has passed into half guard!
Rand wants to improve his position but Jack is controlling well.
Rand wants to control but Jack is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rand slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rand throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jack escapes and throws Rand's legs to the side, diving into side control! Jack is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Rand will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rand is looking to regain half guard here but Jack keeps moving and retains side control. Rand wants to control but Jack postures up. Jack controlling the position. Rand tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jack slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rand tries to improve position but can't. Jack taking a breather here. Jack blocks the strikes from Rand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rand tries to buck Jack off but Jack is having none of it. Jack taking a breather here. Rand tries to strike but it doesn't land.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jack tests Rand's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Ayn Rand has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Jack. Rand misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rand shoots and misses and Jack counters with a one-two to the body. Jack moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rand shoots in but no luck this time. Simple Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ayn Rand. Jack connects with a jab.
Rand is rocked! Ayn Rand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rand has a takedown stuffed. Jack was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Rand looks winded! Jack connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Rand out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simple Jack! Simple Jack bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
