And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smeer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Connor trying to hold on to Smeer's head to control him but Smeer postures up.
Connor wants to get back to full guard.
Connor is working hard here to advance position.
Smeer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Connor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smeer.

Smeer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Connor has escaped the position, nice work there.
Smeer thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Connor manages to get back to half guard.
Smeer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
