PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Weatherspoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Czeslaw Pendrak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weatherspoon comes to the cage accompanied by Shine On by NeedtoBreathe. Sean Weatherspoon has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Weatherspoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Czeslaw Pendrak!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendrak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Weatherspoon tries to avoid it but Pendrak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Weatherspoon to the ground. Weatherspoon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Weatherspoon gets a takedown into half guard.
Weatherspoon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Weatherspoon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Pendrak is looking for a sweep. Weatherspoon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Weatherspoon wants to stand up but Pendrak has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Let's hope that Pendrak has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
BOOM! Pendrak connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Weatherspoon wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pendrak.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Weatherspoon can't escape the position.
Pendrak with shots to the head and body - Weatherspoon looks very uncomfortable down there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Weatherspoon wants to hold on but Pendrak pushes him away.

Weatherspoon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Weatherspoon shoots in looking for a takedown. Pendrak tries to sprawl out of it but Weatherspoon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pendrak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pendrak throws a nice looking combination but Weatherspoon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Weatherspoon doesn't manage to clinch there - Pendrak circles away.

Pendrak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Weatherspoon seems a little lost for a moment, as Pendrak dominates the positioning.

Pendrak fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Pendrak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Weatherspoon has his feet on Pendrak's thighs here. He's pushed Pendrak off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pendrak screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
