Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dariusz Hitman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riley Johnson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hitman.
Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Hitman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target.

Hitman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hitman drops his hands momentarily and Johnson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Johnson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hitman is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Hitman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Johnson finds it's way round the side to connect with Hitman's head.
Hitman takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses.
Hitman scores with a shot to the body.
Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hitman.
Hitman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hitman just misses with a punch to the body.

Johnson lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Hitman goes down! The ref sends Johnson to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Hitman is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!


Hitman is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson connects with a leg kick. Hitman looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oh Hitman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hitman throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.
A nice side step and Johnson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Hitman misses with a body shot.
Hitman seems to have got his legs back now.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Hitman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hitman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hitman moves away from the strike by Johnson.
Johnson looks to land a right hand but Hitman moved out of range.
Johnson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Johnson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hitman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hitman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Johnson can pounce on him.
Hitman throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Johnson! But no joy.
Johnson swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hitman throws a lazy uppercut
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnson moves away from the strike by Hitman.
Johnson moves out of range of the strikes.
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Hitman.
Hitman misses with a two punch combination.

Hitman walks into a big right hand from Johnson and goes down! The referee sends Johnson to a neutral corner as Hitman gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Johnson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson misses with a straight right.
Hitman throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hitman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
No joy there for Hitman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hitman ducks under a wild hook from Johnson.
A little feinted left hand from Hitman on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Hitman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hitman moves out of range of the strikes.
Johnson throws the left hand but Hitman avoids the punch easily.
A swing and a miss from Johnson.
Hitman just misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson misses with a looping right.
Hitman throws a big counter combination but Johnson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Hitman scores with a nice head shot.
Hitman throws a looping overhand right but Johnson ducks down to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hitman has managed to clinch.
Johnson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hitman swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johnson throws a body punch but Hitman moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing.
Hitman throws a hook but Johnson avoids it easily.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hitman works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hitman rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hitman scores with a punch to the head.
Hitman throws a series of strikes that have Johnson backpedaling.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hitman throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hitman.
Johnson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hitman, as that shot connected.

Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Hitman finish him?
Johnson misses with a right hand
and before Johnson has any time to reset, Hitman cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to ropes, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Dariusz Hitman!

Dariusz Hitman decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
