The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leukakoukku gets caught flat footed, as Kennedy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kennedy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Leukakoukku is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kennedy, into his guard.
Kennedy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Leukakoukku can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Leukakoukku controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kennedy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Leukakoukku's guard.
Kennedy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Leukakoukku manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kennedy has Leukakoukku in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Grant Kennedy will probably get the nod.
