Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Graham Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Thali Kaya!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaya keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kaya connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kaya misses with a head kick.
A head kick from Kaya lands but Hunt takes it in his stride.
Hunt dives in for a single leg takedown but Kaya sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Kaya fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hunt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Graham Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kaya misses with a head kick.
Kaya displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hunt.
Kaya catches Hunt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kaya throws a sloppy head kick and Hunt moves out of range easily.
Hunt half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kaya lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hunt will feel that in the morning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sloppy strikes from Kaya. Those never looked like landing.
A head kick misses from Kaya.
Kaya throws out a powerful jab.
Hunt drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hunt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hunt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hunt trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hunt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hunt in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kaya is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
