Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Finch (ranked 25596 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tori Kankunnen (ranked 9239 p4p, 732 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lawrence Finch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tori Kankunnen! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finch wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Finch looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Finch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Finch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Finch is looking to clinch. Finch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kankunnen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kankunnen is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kankunnen winds up and cracks Finch with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kankunnen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kankunnen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kankunnen lands with a punch from half guard. Finch keeps control of the position for the meantime. Finch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kankunnen working Finch over with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kankunnen is thwarting Finch's attempts to control the position. Kankunnen stops Finch from getting back to his feet.
Kankunnen throwing shots but Finch is blocking nicely. Kankunnen is taking a breather. Finch says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kankunnen is thwarting Finch's attempts to control the position. Kankunnen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Tori Kankunnen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kankunnen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Finch is trying to defend but Kankunnen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kankunnen working over Finch with some ground and pound. Finch looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Kankunnen content to control rather than advance. Finch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Finch is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kankunnen scores with a couple of nice shots. Kankunnen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Finch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kankunnen working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Finch is trying to maintain the position but Kankunnen is very close to passing his half guard.

Kankunnen passes into side control, despite Finch's attempt to control the position.
Kankunnen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Finch, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Finch's face as Kankunnen controls the position. Kankunnen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Finch some visible discomfort.
Kankunnen wants to control but Finch is keeping him busy. Kankunnen lands a nice forearm strike. Kankunnen cracks Finch with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kankunnen immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Finch is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kankunnen!
