The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Avila is sneakily working for an arm triangle but David sees it coming and defends easily.
Avila winds up and cracks David with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Avila lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
David moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

David rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Avila counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Avila looks up at the clock and then as David takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Avila smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Avila is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that David can do to turn this around?
David tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Avila has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
David's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
