Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julius Berhol (ranked 6315 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Oken (ranked 6291 p4p, 530 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julius Berhol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Oken! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oken tries for a takedown but Berhol sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Berhol looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Berhol gets in close and instigates a clinch. Oken is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Oken wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Oken is trying to force a seperation but Berhol has the dominant position. Berhol prevents Oken from breaking the clinch. Berhol breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Berhol slips a jab and a cross from Oken.
Berhol thinks about countering with a body kick. Oken fails in his attempt to clinch. Oken shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oken throws a right and a left that Berhol avoids nicely. Berhol half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Oken slips a jab and a cross from Berhol.
Oken unleashes a big counter combination but Berhol bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Berhol shoots in for a takedown but Oken shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Julius Berhol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berhol tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Oken counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oken displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Berhol. Berhol scores with a takedown into Oken's guard. Oken wriggles free and stands up. Berhol has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julius Berhol. That's going to take a lot out of him. Berhol closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berhol manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berhol has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Oken off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. This has been an exciting period of action! Berhol shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oken pinned against the cage. Oken gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Berhol gets in close and instigates a clinch. Berhol is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Oken to keep the fight standing. Berhol tries to pull guard but Oken holds him up against the cage and eventually Berhol drops back down to his feet.
Berhol is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Oken is keeping busy. Berhol connects with a knee to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oken is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Berhol tries to pull guard but Oken won't allow it.
Oken is looking to break free of the clinch but Berhol has double underhooks. Berhol breaks the clinch.
Berhol keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jab, jab by Oken - just one landing. Berhol throws a poor cross that misses
and Oken counters with a three punch combo that has Berhol backing up. Berhol nods at Oken to acknowledge the strikes. Oken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oken scores with a hook to the body. Berhol takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Oken looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Berhol is fending him off so far but Oken persists. Nope, Berhol circles away and we're back to standing. As Oken tries to get set, Berhol tries to push him back and clinch up but Oken manages to avoid the attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oken tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Berhol manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Berhol shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Berhol showed some decent athleticism there. Oken kicks off Berhol and gets to his feet. Berhol is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Oken!
Oken tries to land a front kick but Berhol steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Berhol shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Oken as he avoids it easily. Oken gets a clinch. Oken has had enough of the clinch but Berhol keeps him there for the moment. Oken wants to get back to striking at distance but Berhol won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Oken dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Berhol lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Tony Oken has been cut. Oken looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Julius Berhol is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Berhol swinging wildly here.
Oken comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Berhol fails with an attempt to clinch.
Berhol buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Berhol tries to clinch and Oken counters with a two punch combo. Oken throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Berhol on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Nice sprawl there from Oken as Berhol shoots in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oken looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Berhol tries to counter with a takedown but Oken is quick to defend against it. Oken misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Berhol closes the distance and clinches. Oken is trying to break the clinch but Berhol is controlling him. Oken has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A right hand to the body from Berhol.

Oken with a flurry of punches that miss. Oken gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Oken. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Oken. Berhol tries to close the distance and clinch up but Oken swats him away and circles back towards the center. Berhol closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oken is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Berhol wants to control but Oken is keeping him busy. Oken is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Berhol scores with a couple of nice shots. Oken is not content to let Berhol control the position. Berhol sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Oken defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oken tries to roll over but Berhol keeps him under control. Berhol stands up out of the half guard. Oken circles away from the clinch attempt.
Berhol gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Berhol keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Oken's efforts to push away. Berhol is trying to maintain a safe position but Oken gets an underhook and turns Berhol into the cage. Berhol ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Berhol no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Berhol is working an open guard so Oken takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Oken tries to clinch but Berhol moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berhol tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oken paws at him with a jab and circles away. Berhol dodges the punch combination from Oken.
Berhol seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Berhol fails with an attempt to clinch.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Oken enables Berhol to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Oken manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Julius Berhol overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Berhol trying to control the position from guard on top but Oken is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Berhol pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Oken is keeping the position for now. Berhol looking to sit in guard and control but Oken gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A close second round but Tony Oken will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Tony Oken's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Oken tries to clinch up but Berhol circles away and keeps his distance. That kick from Berhol tenderised Oken's leg. Oken is trying to keep his angry face on. Berhol shoots in for a takedown but Oken shows good takedown defense. Berhol moves forwards but Oken connects with a nice, crisp jab. Oken throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Berhol moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Berhol feinted with a counter takedown. Berhol takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Berhol closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Oken did well to prevent Berhol getting side control. Oken is trying is best to control the position here. Berhol passes the guard and advances to mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oken is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Oken takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berhol tries to control but Oken wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Oken is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Berhol looking to control but Oken is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Berhol working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oken trying desperately to get to his feet.
Oken defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Berhol. Berhol can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oken is looking to escape. Berhol throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Berhol tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Berhol working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Berhol trying to control but Oken is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Berhol swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Oken is now in Berhol's guard. A big mistake from Berhol there, giving up the dominant position!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Julius Berhol. I think Oken has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
