Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alejandro Burgess! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Xander Draven! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burgess looks for a takedown but Draven sprawls well. Draven counters with a body kick. Draven fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Burgess, pushing him back against the cage. Draven wants to get back to striking at distance but Burgess won't allow it.
Burgess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Burgess prevents Draven from breaking the clinch. Burgess has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Draven uses from the top position. Draven advances to half guard. Draven seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Burgess is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draven is trying to work for a kimura but Burgess is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Burgess tries to kick Draven off but Draven keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Draven is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Draven throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Burgess flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Burgess works his way to full guard. Good work. Draven gets to his feet. Burgess looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Draven misses with a head kick.
Xander Draven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burgess tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Draven swivels and escapes. Draven misses with a few strikes there.
Burgess is looking to counter the offense by Draven and move into the clinch. Burgess shoots for a double leg takedown but Draven sprawls well. He's pushed Burgess's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Burgess. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burgess tries to sprawl but Draven drives through with a takedown into half guard. Burgess is trying to get back to full guard. Draven is working for a kimura but Burgess is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Draven passes the guard and advances to mount! Draven with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Draven punching from mount but Burgess doing a good job of avoiding damage. Draven throwing strikes here but Burgess is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Draven is working for a guillotine from mount but Burgess frees his head quite easily.
Burgess throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burgess wants to get back to his feet.

Draven misses with a two punch combination.
Burgess wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Draven bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Burgess's head.
Burgess is rocked! Draven connects with a nice cross there... Burgess is looking wobbly and Draven recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Burgess to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Draven jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Xander Draven! Xander Draven bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
