Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Severe (ranked 5766 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Oken (ranked 5488 p4p, 504 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Oken.
Oken looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Severe shoots in but no luck this time.
Severe dives in and grabs Oken's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oken pushes down on Severe's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Severe is defended easily by Oken.

Severe goes for a double leg but Oken avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Oken continues to drive forward.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Severe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

As Severe backs off Oken throws a huge counter combo but Severe manages to avoid it all.

A quick step to the side and Severe tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Oken is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Oken is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Severe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
