Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valentino Silfversvanz (ranked 3646 p4p, 386 weight class) and Gunnar Impala (ranked 4752 p4p, 477 weight class). Impala has chosen Ambitions of a ridah as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Valentino Silfversvanz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunnar Impala! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silfversvanz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Silfversvanz scores with an uppercut up the middle. Silfversvanz doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Silfversvanz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Impala's elbow. Silfversvanz lands a right hand that snaps the head of Impala backwards. Impala goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silfversvanz prevents it.
A head punch on the inside from Silfversvanz fails to land. Silfversvanz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Impala has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silfversvanz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Impala takes a shot to the head. Silfversvanz lands with a light punch inside. Impala is trying to drag Silfversvanz to the mat but Silfversvanz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Valentino Silfversvanz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunnar Impala. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silfversvanz working some nice short punches in the clinch. Impala wants the takedown. Silfversvanz is fighting it off but Impala persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silfversvanz's guard against the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Impala sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silfversvanz's guard. Impala is working for a kimura but Silfversvanz is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silfversvanz is trying to stand back up but Impala is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Impala winds up and cracks Silfversvanz with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Impala has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Impala is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silfversvanz has managed to free his arm - good work. Impala is nestled in close to Silfversvanz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Silfversvanz wants to improve his position but Impala is controlling well.
Silfversvanz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Silfversvanz has hold of Impala's hands but Impala slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Impala slips a nice elbow through Silfversvanz's hands, connecting with Silfversvanz's forehead. Impala passes to side control. Impala working the ground and pound from side control. Impala cracks Silfversvanz with an elbow. That is naaassty. Silfversvanz tries to bench press Impala off him but Impala keeps the position. Impala is working to tighten his grip on Silfversvanz's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silfversvanz has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Impala is really squeezing tight and eventually Silfversvanz passes out! Impala breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gunnar Impala! During a confident post fight interview, Gunnar Impala thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
