Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Roscrow Jr (ranked 1430 p4p, 149 weight class) and Norman Stebson (ranked 2048 p4p, 212 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roscrow Jr takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Stebson thuds his shin into the meat of Roscrow Jr 's side.
Roscrow Jr misses with a combination
and Stebson counters with a stiff right hand.
Stebson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Roscrow Jr is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Roscrow Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stebson avoids it really well and circles away.
Norman Stebson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stebson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Roscrow Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Stebson sprawls well. He's pushed Roscrow Jr 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stebson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Perry Roscrow Jr . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Roscrow Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stebson to the mat! Stebson manages to get full guard.
Stebson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Roscrow Jr is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Stebson manages to break the clinch.
Roscrow Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stebson.
Roscrow Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stebson avoids it really well and circles away.
Stebson flicks out a counter leg kick but Roscrow Jr steps away.

Stebson tries a head kick but it misses.

Roscrow Jr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stebson is trying to defend but Roscrow Jr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Stebson pushes Roscrow Jr off and gets back to his feet.

Roscrow Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stebson tries to avoid it but Roscrow Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stebson to the ground. Stebson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Roscrow Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Stebson is just out of range.
A head kick from Stebson lands but Roscrow Jr takes it in his stride.
Roscrow Jr goes for a double leg but Stebson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stebson continues to drive forward.

Roscrow Jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Stebson quickly recovers to half guard.

Stebson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Roscrow Jr off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Roscrow Jr takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Stebson leaves Roscrow Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stebson throws a nice outside leg kick.
Roscrow Jr tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stebson defends well and Roscrow Jr ends up having to push Stebson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Stebson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Roscrow Jr has time to react.

Roscrow Jr dives in for a single leg takedown but Stebson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Stebson lands a high kick to the side of Roscrow Jr 's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Stebson dives into guard, looking to finish.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stebson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roscrow Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Roscrow Jr looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Roscrow Jr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stebson manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stebson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Stebson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Roscrow Jr on the side of the head.
Stebson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Roscrow Jr s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stebson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Roscrow Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stebson circles away quickly and effectively.
Roscrow Jr shoots in but no luck this time.
Roscrow Jr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stebson misses with a jab, cross combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roscrow Jr is defended easily by Stebson.
Roscrow Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stebson but Stebson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stebson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stebson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Roscrow Jr to the canvas! Roscrow Jr doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Stebson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

After winning the bout, Norman Stebson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
