The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denke scores with a leg kick.
That kick from Reilly tenderised Denke's leg. Denke is trying to keep his angry face on.
Reilly has taken the fight to the clinch.

Reilly tries to land knees in the clinch but Denke avoids the damage to the body.

Reilly pushes Denke back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Reilly keeps control of Denke as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Denke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Denke takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Reilly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Denke jabs Reilly right on the nose. Reilly blinks but takes it well.
Reilly bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A lazy left from Denke finds it's target.
A swing and a miss from Denke.
Reilly is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Reilly thuds his right hand into Denke's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reilly throws a sloppy head kick and Denke moves out of range easily.

Denke swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Reilly has managed to clinch.
Denke lands with a short shot to the head.
Reilly avoids the elbow strike from Denke, against the cage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Denke.
Denke tries to break free but Reilly pushes him back against the cage.
Reilly lands a right hand that snaps the head of Denke backwards.
Reilly misses with some punches.
Denke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reilly misses with a few strikes there.
Denke keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Denke slips a straight right by Reilly.
A leg kick checked by Denke.
A big right from Denke misses.
Reilly misses with a lunging right hand
and Denke counters with a left and a right that stings Reilly.
Denke connects with a looping right hand.
Denke pounces like a tiger and cracks Reilly with a vicious hook! Reilly is down but not out! Denke follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Karl Denke was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
