Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 21 - 1, fighting out of London, Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jitsu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Andersson quickly recovers to half guard.

My spies in AREA 51 inform me that Jitsu has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Andersson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jitsu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Andersson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jitsu wants to sweep here but Andersson controlling him for the moment.

Jitsu throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Andersson escapes and throws Jitsu's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jitsu dives in and grabs Andersson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Andersson pushes down on Jitsu's head and hops out.

Andersson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Andersson wants it to stay on the feet.

and Jitsu counters with a shoot takedown. Andersson fights it but they end up in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Andersson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jitsu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Andersson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A clash of legs there as Jitsu blocks the low kick.
Jitsu tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

and Jitsu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Andersson's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Andersson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Andersson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jitsu is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Andersson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Andersson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jitsu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Andersson tries to avoid it but Jitsu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Andersson to the ground. Andersson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Andersson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jitsu checks it well.
Andersson cracks Jitsu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Andersson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

As Jitsu backs away, Andersson returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Andersson as he jumps to the side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Andersson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jitsu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
