Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andre Soares (ranked 1473 p4p, 180 weight class) and Junior Iron (ranked 501 p4p, 63 weight class). Soares comes to the cage accompanied by Black Sabbath - Iron Man. Junior Iron has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iron scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Soares doesn't seem bothered though.
Iron misses with a shot to the body
and Soares counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Iron is not content to let Soares control the position.
Soares landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Soares looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Iron keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Iron is trying to maintain the position but Soares is very close to passing his half guard.
Iron preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Soares lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Iron has hold of Soares's hands but Soares slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Soares lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Soares winds up and cracks Iron with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Iron is rocked!
Soares scores with a big shot! Iron's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Iron! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
