Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hwai Ja (ranked 4231 p4p, 425 weight class) and Jakob Jokic (ranked 4671 p4p, 463 weight class). Jakob Jokic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hwai Ja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jakob Jokic!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokic shoots in but Ja avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ja went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jokic thows a leg kick but Ja checks it
and Ja counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A low kick from Jokic misses
and Ja counters with a nice right hand that sends Jokic toppling to the canvas! Jokic scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ja finish him?!
Jokic is rocked!
It looks like Jakob Jokic has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ja. Jokic does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ja throws a shot from downtown. Jokic moves away and avoids it.
Jokic shoots in looking for a takedown. Ja tries to sprawl out of it but Jokic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ja is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Jokic closes the distance and clinches up with Ja, looking for a takedown. Jokic pushes Ja against the cage but Ja circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ja was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hwai Ja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jakob Jokic.
Jokic tries to score with a low kick but Ja moves his leg out of the way.
Ja swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Ja counters with a right hand to the body.
Ja definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

and Ja counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jokic looks winded!

Jokic tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ja swivels and escapes.
Jokic slips under a jab.
Jokic throws a leg kick but Ja sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ja swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Nice takedown defense from Ja. No joy for Jokic on that attempt.
A low kick from Jokic is predictable there
and Jokic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hwai Ja is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jokic fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ja swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ja cracks Jokic with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ja has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jokic to stand back up!
Jokic is still on wobbly legs! Can Ja finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ja looks to score with a jab to the body but Jokic is just out of range.
Jokic throws a leg kick that misses.
Jokic shoots in but no luck this time.
Ja was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jokic seems to have recovered his senses.
Ja connects with a body shot.
Ja cracks a nice hook into Jokic's ribs.
Jokic displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ja throws out the jab.
Ja throws a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ja lands with a big right hook that stumbles Jokic - he's out on his feet here! Ja follows up with another monster hook that separates Jokic from consciousness! Jokic falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ja stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hwai Ja!
