Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brenton Steele (ranked 5903 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chew Kok (ranked 6250 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steele fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kok, pushing him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Steele.
Steele blocking some punches.
Steele jumps guard but Kok stands there with Steele around his waist. Steele gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kok swings wildly with an uppercut but Steele uses good head movement to avoid it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kok.
Kok stalling in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kok gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Steele.
Steele can't break the clinch.

Kok is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Steele drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kok pulls his leg out and moves away.

Steele has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kok after a bit of a struggle.

Steele pulls guard successfully.
Steele manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kok manages to get himself to full guard.

Kok wants to stand up but Steele is controlling him.
Steele throws a strike but Kok rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kok would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Steele controls Kok momentarily but Kok frees himself.

Kok wants to get up but he can't break Steele's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kok stands up and waves to Steele to follow him.

Kok rushes Steele and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Steele can't break the clinch.
Steele digs a right hand underneath Kok's ribcage. Kok let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Kok misses with some punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chew Kok dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Steele shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kok sprawls well. Kok wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steele gets slowly back to his feet.
Steele shoots in for a double leg but Kok sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steele fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Steele blocks an uppercut.

Steele is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kok to keep the fight standing.
Steele is trying to drag Kok to the mat but Kok just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Steele struggles to land a body shot inside as Kok controls his hands.

Chew Kok is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brenton Steele has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chew Kok is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Chew Kok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kok has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
