Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Logan Lord (ranked 2492 p4p, 226 weight class) and Tyrian Lanaster (ranked 3860 p4p, 312 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrian Lanaster!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanaster shoots in looking for a takedown. Lord tries to sprawl out of it but Lanaster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lord manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lord paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lord throws a shot to the body.
Lanaster looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lord is fending him off so far but Lanaster persists. Nope, Lord circles away and we're back to standing.
Lord lands a glancing blow to the side of Lanaster's head.
Lord connects with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lanaster misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Logan Lord has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrian Lanaster.
Lanaster takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Lanaster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lord's waist but Lord gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lanaster off to one side.

We've been told by Lord's head coaches at Scouse House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Horrible takedown attempt by Lanaster or perhaps it was just good defense by Lord, which made it look bad.

Lord throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lanaster stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Lord scores with the left hand. Lanaster knows he should have avoided that one.

Lanaster walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lord throws a nice looking combination but Lanaster bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lanaster is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Lanaster shoots in for a takedown but Lord shows good takedown defense.
Lanaster changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lord tries to avoid it but Lanaster manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lord to the ground. Lord escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lanaster is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lord is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lanaster.

Nice straight punches there by Lord. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lord.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Lanaster might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Lord has got the better of the exchanges.

Lord lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Lanaster goes down and covers up as Lord starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
