Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Braddock (ranked 8447 p4p, 656 weight class) and Randy Jacobs (ranked 7259 p4p, 612 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braddock scores with a jab to the head.
Braddock pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jacobs back to the cage. Braddock follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jacobs doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Braddock counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jacobs shoots in but no luck this time.
Braddock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jacobs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Braddock sprawls well initially but Jacobs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jacobs takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Let's hope that Jacobs has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jacobs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Buzz Braddock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Jacobs.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jacobs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Braddock tries to avoid it but Jacobs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Braddock to the ground. Braddock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Braddock lands a really nice looking cross but Jacobs seems unphased.
Braddock is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Jacobs closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Braddock is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Jacobs has latched onto it... Big trouble! Jacobs pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Braddock is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Jacobs!
