Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Talley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Don! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Don tries to land a front kick but Talley steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Talley with a poor takedown and Don counters with a head kick. Talley looks to land a combination but Don avoids it well. Talley backing away here, and Don unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Don lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Scott Talley has been cut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Talley dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Don escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Don throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Talley seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Talley misses with a looping left. Don takes the fight into the clinch. Talley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Don breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Don looks winded! Talley avoids a low kick by using good footwork. It looked like Talley was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Don. Don pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Don tries a low kick but Talley avoids it. Don throws a lazy head kick and Talley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Talley is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Talley fails with an attempt to clinch.

Talley tries to clinch but Don is having none of it. Don lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Talley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Don up against the cage. Don wants to break the clinch but can't.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Talley is pushing Don up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Talley is struggling to control the position. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Scott Talley. Don thows a left - swing and a miss! We've been informed that Don has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Talley falls off balance throwing a combination
and Don finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Talley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Don can do anything to dispel that myth. Don is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Don dominated that round. The cut man is working on Scott Talley's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Don goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Talley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Don throws a wild body kick that Talley sees coming a mile off. Talley lands a body shot.

Talley wants to clinch up but Don keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Talley lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Don is breathing heavily. Don throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Talley counters with a two punch combo. Talley has Don up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Talley slowing the pace effectively. Don with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Don pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Talley wants to clinch up but Don keeps it at a distance. Don looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Scott Talley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Talley throws a body punch but Don moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Talley doesn't manage to clinch there - Don circles away.
Don lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Don lands a head kick!

Don Don is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Don. Talley looking to score a takedown here. Don is defending well but Talley drives through and ends up in Don's guard. Talley lands a couple of decent looking shots. Don working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Talley.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Talley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Talley prevents Don from getting back to his feet. Talley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Talley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Talley prevents Don from getting back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Talley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Talley fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A head kick misses from Don. Talley scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Scott Talley dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Don Don seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Talley lands a jab-cross combination. Don throws a sloppy head kick and Talley counters with a left to the body. Don throws a front kick that sends Talley stumbling back into the cage. Talley gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A bit of stalling here from Talley.

Don breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Don throws a half hearted mid kick. Talley is looking to counter the offense by Don and move into the clinch. Talley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Don's waist but Don gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Talley off to one side. Don lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Don throws a sloppy head kick and Talley moves out of range easily. Don showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Talley.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Talley throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Don misses with a body kick. Don throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Talley tries to clinch up. Talley shoots in for a takedown but Don shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Don misses with a wild body shot. Talley is looking to counter the offense by Don and move into the clinch. Horrible takedown attempt by Talley or perhaps it was just good defense by Don, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Talley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Talley tries to close the distance and clinch but Don swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Don looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Talley drives through and clinches with Don against the cage.

Talley misses with a takedown attempt - Don sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Talley blocks the body kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Don swings for the body but Talley moves out of range.
Talley tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Don manages to circle out of the way. Talley rushes Don and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scott Talley. I think Talley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
