Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Brekker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Lemon! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brekker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Brekker displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lemon up against the cage. Brekker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lemon prevents it.
Lemon lands a nice shot to the body. Knees in the clinch landing for Lemon.
Brekker pulls guard. Brekker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brekker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lemon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Brekker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lemon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lemon stands up from guard. Let's bang! Lemon clinches up against the cage.

Lemon's coach down at Forge Characters MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lemon's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Brekker stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Brekker blocking some punches.

They are putting on a show! Lemon putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Brekker in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Brekker jumps into guard, dragging Lemon to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lemon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Brekker is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Brekker is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lemon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Lemon with shots to the head and body - Brekker looks very uncomfortable down there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brekker can't escape the position.

Lemon is in the full mount, landing strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lemon content just to control the position here. Brekker tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lemon trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brekker keeping moving, preventing Lemon from controlling successfully. Lemon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Brekker tries to get to full guard but Lemon has control of the leg. Brekker looking for submissions off his back. Brekker is looking for a sweep. Lemon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lemon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Brekker to stand up. Andrew Brekker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lemon bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Brekker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lemon unloads a knee to the mid-section. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lemon gets underhooks to prevent Brekker's takedown attempt.

John Lemon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Brekker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Brekker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lemon walks away with a smile on his face. Brekker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Brekker shoots in looking for a takedown but Lemon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brekker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lemon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Lemon closes the distance and clinches. Lemon digs a right hand into Brekker's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Brekker's gas tank. A nice left hand lands by Lemon.

Lemon has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Brekker is trying to keep an underhook but Lemon manages to get the takedown into half guard. Lemon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brekker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lemon gets to his feet - back to striking we go! And that's the end of the fight! John Lemon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lemon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
