Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between sergio silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). silva comes to the cage accompanied by The architect DJ davey b. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris clinches up with silva and pushes him back against the cage.

silva jumps guard and drags Morris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
silva doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Morris wants to control from the top but silva keeps moving.
silva could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
silva wants to get back to his feet but Morris is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
silva is looking to stand back up but Morris counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by silva.

That was a close round but I would say that sergio silva will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

silva drops back looking for a leg! Morris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morris manages to kick silva off! silva jumps back into Morris's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morris can do anything to dispel that myth.

Morris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
silva wants to get up but he can't break Morris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Morris lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for silva!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morris lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Morris wants to control the pace but silva is squirming around nicely.
silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Morris has a good base and remains in mount.
Morris is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from silva!
silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Morris holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
silva has Morris pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morris manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

silva tries to pull guard but Morris holds him up against the cage and eventually silva drops back down to his feet.

Morris has silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Morris pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending silva tumbling to the mat - Morris dives into silva's guard.

Morris has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Morris is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - silva pulls down on the head and he's put Morris to sleep! This one is all over!
